The Coffee Trail Comes to an End…Let the Farmers Market Trail Begin: Unity Gardens 🥕🌽🍅

Now that we’ve explored all the possible coffee shops in the area, we thought it best to get on a new small business trail.
So this time, I’ll be going through the Farmers Market for the next few weeks and highlighting various vendors, their stories, and sharing which of their items is my absolute favorite!
To start this little trail, I present: The Unity Garden!

About: ”Unity Gardens' mission is to improve community health: Physically by increasing accessibility of fruits and vegetables as well as providing education on nutrition and food preparation. Socially by providing education, increased social capital, and opportunities for the disadvantaged. Economically: by developing a sustainable local food system, recapturing food waste, creating new jobs, and increasing per-capita productivity.
🍯 What’s worth trying: Honey! Unity Gardens is known for their incredible and hyper-local honey (great for allergies, sugar substitute, or a little sweetener in black coffee or tea!)
Where to find in the Market: Unity Gardens is located right across from the main entrance to the Market Diner!

The Happenings
WAITRESS is Coming to South Bend Civic Theatre!

“Stuck in a small town and a loveless marriage, Jenna, a waitress at Joe's Pie Diner, tries to escape her everyday life through the pies she expertly bakes. After finding out she is unexpectedly pregnant, she enters a nearby baking contest in hopes of using the prize money to open her own pie shop. Supported by a cast of sometimes quirky friends and a surprise romance, the waitress works towards her dream of a fulfilling life, one pie at a time.
Based on a 2007 indie film, Waitress features music and lyrics by Sara Bareilles and a book by Jessie Nelson.”
